The school year will begin in September with Orientation days starting the Thursday after Labor Day. The year will end in May on the Friday before Memorial Day. Office hours are held from 8:45am to 2:30pm weekdays. The preschool office is closed during summer vacation, generally June through August. The director will check office messages on a regular basis throughout the Summer. If PHCP holds a summer camp following the regular school year, information will be made available at that time.
The classroom hours are from 9am to 12pm. While the staff arrives earlier for classroom preparation and prayer time, they are not available to assume responsibility for children. During inclement weather, we suggest you remain in the comfort of your car. Children are not to arrive before 8:55am and should be picked up no later than 12:05pm. Please allow enough time for a timely pick-up. We understand unique circumstances can occur but more than two tardies will result in late fees. Late fees are assessed at ten-minute increments for any child picked up after 12:05pm. ($10 for 12:10 pick-up, $20 for 12:20pm, etc.)
We follow the Fairfax County School calendar regarding most student holidays. Any variation in this calendar will be refleted in the current general calendar provided annually.
